Al-Ghazi directs to form of a work team to implement the requirements for developing the holy city of Kadhimiya

    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, directed today, Friday, to form a working group to implement the requirements for developing the holy city of Kadhimiya.
     
    The secretariat stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Ghazi directed the formation of joint working teams between the relevant authorities to resolve the conflicts related to the implementation of Cabinet Resolution (343 of 2021), and to propose appropriate planning alternatives to implement the requirements for the expansion and development of the holy city of Kadhimiya, most notably, relating to compensation for the lands allocated to the Ministry of Defense.
     
    Al-Ghazi added, "while presiding over the third meeting to implement the aforementioned decision, the government's orientation aimed to achieve the public benefit in various sectors, including those related to reversing the civilized facade of the capital, Baghdad, and the economic returns that will be achieved by the operations of developing tourist, cultural and religious sites, especially since the latter is one of the most prominent sites of interest to tourists, including Al-Kadhimaya Holy  Shrine, which is one of the most prominent landmarks visited by visitors from outside the country, as well as the season of millions of visits witnessed by this holy city.
