The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, warned today, Thursday, of a malicious project aimed at igniting the fire of sedition and fighting among the people of the south, especially in Maysan Governorate, while stressing the necessity of imposing security and stability there.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Zamili demanded "the security forces to confront the outlaws to prevent lawlessness and impose stability and security in Maysan.".
He stressed, "The security leaders who tolerate or cover up the criminals or those who stir up sedition in the province must be held accountable.".
A member of the Presidency of the House of Representatives stressed, "the importance of responding to the initiatives put forward by some religious and political leaders, foremost of which is the initiative of His Eminence the Leader Muqtada al-Sadr which included the formation of a high-level delegation to calm down, resolve disputes, ward off danger, bury sedition, and preserve civil peace." .
