Maysan: Major investment projects to restore the marshes and encourage tourism

Maysan Investment Authority announced Tuesday investment projects in the marshes, while indicating plans to employ a large number of the province's residents.
 
The head of the Authority, Youssef Al-Sari, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Work is underway to revive and develop the marshes through investment projects, and activate the work between the Maysan investment, the Directorate of Water Resources, the Directorate of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Directorate of Revitalization of the Marshes."
 
 
He stressed that "the revival and revitalization of water bodies in the marshlands will contribute to the development of tourism in them, which will lead to the employment of a large number of the people of the province and activate economic activity."
 
He pointed to "the importance of joint work with the concerned departments, by reducing obstacles and raising coordination between the relevant departments, in order to facilitate procedures for the advancement of the investment reality in the province."
