The Independent High Electoral Commission-IHEC announced today, Saturday that it will return the biometric cards withdrawn in the special voting process.
IHEC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "according to the directives of the Board of Commissioners, IHEC will redistribute the voting cards that have been withdrawn during the polling day from the military forces and the IDPs, in the middle of next week, through the registration centers of the electoral district offices spread throughout Iraq and each according to the geographical area of the voter's residence, after conducting the electronic inventory of those cards.
The statement indicated that "IHEC is coordinating with the security institutions for urging its employees to receive their cards."
