MOD activates the T50 aircraft contract with the Korean company KAI

    The Ministry of Defense announced, today, Thursday, the activation of the logistics contract for the T50 aircraft with the Korean company KAI, indicating that Iraq owns 24 aircraft of this type. 

    The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Martyr Muhammad Alaa Air Base witnessed the establishment of a gathering on the occasion of activating the logistical contract for the T50 combat training aircraft with the Korean KAI company, in the presence of the Minister of Defense Jumaa Inad and the Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Pilot Shihab Jahid Ali, and a number of of the Commanding Staff Officers. 

    The Ministry added, "Iraq owns (24) aircraft of this type," noting that "the Minister of Defense praised this achievement, which is added to the series of achievements of the heroic air force, which was and is still a pioneer in all forums.". 

    In addition to that the Ministry,added, "The minister held a number of meetings with officers and command ranks, including pilots, engineers and technicians, and praised their distinguished efforts in perpetuating the wheel of development in the service of our valiant army and our dear country."


    Furthemore, While the Commander of the Air Force affirmed "to continue achieving achievements in order to build this great edifice", thanking the Minister of Defense for his presence, interest and continuous support for the Air Force Command,expressing his hope that "this contract will contribute to the development of the training institution."
