Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi issued on Wednesday several directives during his visit to the border strip with the Syrian side.

"Our visit comes to directly supervise the procedures and precautions of our heroes in the security and military forces," al-Kadhimi said in a speech during a visit to the border strip with Syria, adding that "his presence here confirms the strong presence of the state and the readiness of the armed forces to counter any attempt to tamper with the security and stability of our country."

"We have listened to the security briefing, and I am in daily follow-up to the developments of various events," al-Kadhimi said, referring to "the ability and determination of the forces to protect Iraq and Iraqis, and to address the follies of terrorists abroad and at home, seeking to stir chaos and undermine state institutions, for their personal interests."

"Don't try us, you have tried a lot and you have failed, you will try a lot and you will fail, you know very well that we are following you, inside and outside Iraq, and you know very well that the blood of the Iraqis for us is too expensive, and you will pay for all the folly you have committed," he warned.

"You are a gang group that has no place among us, this is our decision and the decision of every honest Iraqi before it is the decision of the state, the government and the security establishment, we will only accept the elimination of you, and the protection of our land and our people," he said.

"You are stronger today than you were yesterday, and tomorrow you will be stronger, Allah willing, Iraq’s security is your responsibility, and do not compromise on this great responsibility, your blood is precious, so you must abide by the military instructions and directives, and implement them as best as possible," al-Kadhimi told the security forces.

"The country is protected and maintained when the border is protected and held, and today it is thanks to the efforts of the heroes as well," he said.
"You have to intensify your efforts and work night and day, this area is very important for us and for the enemy as well, and this requires a double effort, cooperation and integration among you," al-Kadhimi said.
