The Head of the Iraqi Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FICC) , Abdul Razzaq al-Zuhairi announced on Monday, that Iraq looks forward to form an economic bloc with Saudi Arabia.
“Saudi Arabia is an important strategic depth, due to its economic importance, affirming that Iraq are looking to form an economic bloc with Saudi Arabia”, Al-Zuhairi said in a speech during the Iraqi-Saudi Business Forum, which is held in Riyadh.
He added “Iraq has water and energy resources, while Saudi Arabia has expertise and money, thus we hope to achieve fruitful cooperation between both countries to invest these resources in the best way, and we hope that such a cooperation will keep pace with development.”
