Nechirvan Barzani: The necessity of the coordination between the region and Baghdad to eliminate ISIS

    The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, condemned today, Friday, the violent attack launched by ISIS militants on the Iraqi army forces in Al-Azim district, Diyala Governorate. 

    Barzani said in a tweet on Twitter, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We condemn the terrorist act in the Al-Azim area today, which resulted in the martyrdom of a number of soldiers.". 

    He added: "ISIS still poses a threat to the security and stability of the country," stressing "the need for full cooperation and coordination between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad to eliminate ISIS."
