PM: Government keenness to communicate with various communities, protect their rights

    INA - BAGHDAD

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani affirmed on Saturday the government's keenness to communicate with various communities, protect their rights, ensure their representation, and respect rights and freedoms.

    Al-Sudani received the Coptic Orthodox Archbishop of Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon, Anba Antonios, and his accompanying delegation, according to the PM's media office statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The Prime Minister affirmed, "the government's keenness to communicate with various communities, protect their rights, ensure their representation, and respect rights and freedoms," expressing the government's pride "in the Christian community in Iraq and efforts to return its people to their country in addition to enabling them to fulfill their national role alongside other communities."

    "Iraq has made significant strides in consolidating stability by providing services, improving the standard of living for citizens, and rehabilitating infrastructure in various regions and governorates," he noted.

    He pointed out that "important service projects were launched today in the Sinjar and Nineveh Plains regions, serving all Christian and other communities in those areas." 

    In turn, the Christian delegation members praised the Iraqi government's interest, commitment, and outreach to all components of the Iraqi people, especially Christians. 

    They also commended the stability achieved by the government through its development and construction process, which serves the interests of all Iraqis.
