Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Mustafa al-Kadhimi attended the graduation ceremony of the High Officers Course on Sunday to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi police.
"The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mustafa al-Kadhimi, attended the graduation ceremony of the High Officers Course (52) at a ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi police," said a statement from the prime minister's office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The graduates who were awarded the rank of Iraqi police officer were paraded," he said.
"Al-Kadhimi honored the distinguished graduates of the course, and granted them discretionary gifts, and provided blessings to all graduates who will join their duties, and perform their duties in protecting the security of Iraq and its holy people," the statement said.
