The Oil Ministry clarified on Tuesday details of Total French Company’s projects in Iraq, revealing its investment value.
Oil Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad told The Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The French company Total has entered into the development of four projects and investments estimated at (27) billion dollars, In addition to investing 600 million feet of gas in two phases and one solar Giga investment project
"The first project includes the extension of the offshore pipeline, which transports seawater to oil fields and aims to sustain production from oil fields that need water in large quantities," he said.
"The second project includes the development of the Artawi field and increasing production, as the production capacity of the field is currently estimated at 80,000 barrels," he said, adding that “developments aim to increase field production to more than 200,000 barrels per day.”
