The head of the National Security Service, Hamid al-shatri, arrived in Babylon province on Sunday to follow up on the investigation into the Jabala incident.
"Al-shatri has arrived in Babylon province to follow up on the latest developments and findings through the progress of the investigation into the incident," his media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The prime minister has instructed the National Security Service to initiate investigation proceedings and determine the circumstances of the incident," he said.
