Al-Sadr calls for speedy formation a national majority government

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called today, Monday, for accelerating the formation of a national majority government, while welcoming the approval of the Federal Court on the election results.

Al-Sadr expressed on his thanks and said: "I would like to mention Brother Faiq Zaidan, the Federal Court, the Electoral Commission, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Jeanine Plasschaert, and all the partners, so thanks are due to the Iraqi people who have been patient and won, and thanks to supreme religious authority and supporter for this electoral carnival, which deserves our praise, thanks and celebration."

Al-Sadr called for "preserving peace and calm, as the homeland is a trust in our necks, by expediting the formation of a national majority government, neither eastern nor western, that will shine its light from the homeland and provide the people with service and safety.
