Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, and Turkey's Ambassador in Baghdad Alireza Konay discussed on Wednesday, the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides after being applied to ensure that Iraq obtains a fair water share.
"The Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, received in his office the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in BAGHDAD, Ali Riza Konai and his accompanying delegation," according to a statement by the Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
During the meeting, they discussed the water file and ways of joint cooperation between the two countries to face the water scarcity crisis in the region.
They also discussed the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides after its entry into force and the necessary steps to implement the terms of the memorandum to ensure that Iraq obtains a fair water share.
