The security Media Cell announced on Thursday, that a joint security force finds a stack of ammunitions inside five-a-side stadium in Dhi Qar province.
SMC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a joint force from the National Security Service (NSS) and Al-Nasr Police Department Directorate in Dhi Qar province, managed to find a stack of ammunitions inside a five-a-side stadium belonging to one of the suspects arrested by the NSS."
The statement added, "The stack contains 39 anti-armor missiles, 12 anti-personnel missiles, 26 launchers, 11- 82 mm mortar bombs, 6 detonation valves, 3 bazooka launcher and a propelling charge, One-roll detonation wires and detonating material 2 kg of C4 material, 145 rounds of BKC ammunition, 2087 rounds of KA-47 rifle ammunition, BKC ammunition tapes of different numbers (8), 1207 mm ammunition .”
All the confiscated ammunitions were duly dealt with, the statement affirmed.
