The Sudanese army announced that “a number” of its members were killed in an attack by the Ethiopian forces in the disputed Al-Fashqa area.

The Sudanese army said in a statement: “Our forces working to secure the harvest in Al-Fashqa Al-Soghra in the Barakat Noreen area were attacked and attacked by groups of the Ethiopian army and militias, aimed at intimidating farmers, sabotaging the harvest season and incursions into our lands.”

He added, “Our forces valiantly confronted the attack and inflicted heavy losses on them in lives and equipment, and the armed forces counted a number of martyrs,” without specifying their number.
