Tehran hopes for a valuable meeting with Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency

    Tehran, Monday, expressed its hope that the visit of the Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, to the country will be valuable.

     Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in his weekly press conference, "Iran is waiting for the visit of the Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency to Tehran, and we hope it will be constructive. 

    He added, "His country stresses the importance of technical cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and not to allow some countries to exploit the agency for political purposes," stressing that "Iran will enter negotiations with a serious desire to lift economic sanctions." 

    Tomorrow, Tuesday, the Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency will meet with the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, and Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian. 

    This visit comes a week before the resumption of talks in Vienna between Iran and the major powers in order to revive the suspended nuclear agreement. 

    The negotiations will include Iran on the one hand, and Germany, China, France, Britain and Russia on the other, while the United States will participate indirectly in these negotiations.
