The head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, affirmed on Wednesday, the aspiration of the Iraqi people for a government that meets their aspirations to live a comfortable, free and dignified life.
"Al-Mutairi, received in the presence of his deputy Nassar Al-Rubaie, the French ambassador to Iraq Eric Chevalier and his companion, political advisor Remy Darwan,"according to a statement issued by the political body of the Sadrist movement and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Mutairi welcomed this visit to the headquarters of the body in the capital, Baghdad, reviewing the nature of the strong relationship between the two friendly countries at various levels, specifically with regard to the exchange of official visits between the leaders of the two sides.
He touched on the importance of the next political stage for the Iraqi people, as they “look forward to a government that meets the aspirations of its people to live a comfortable, free and dignified life, away from quotas, corruption and foreign interference,”
For his part, the French ambassador expressed his happiness for visiting the political body of the Sadrist movement, stressing that his country is looking forward to more cooperation and bilateral understanding between the two countries in all fields.
