Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken today, Sunday, affirmed their keenness to commit to strengthening bilateral relations.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received, today, Sunday, a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken," noting that "Blinken expressed his anger and deep concern over the attack incident against the Prime Minister, who represents an attack on Iraq and its sovereignty, and not only on the Prime Minister."
According to the statement, Blinken expressed the United States of America's high appreciation for Al-Kadhimi's leadership approach, and his courage in facing the difficult challenges in the country, and threatening its security and stability.
Al-Kadhimi and Blinken affirmed their keenness to pledge to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, in a manner that serves the interests of their peoples.
