The activities of the Mirbad Festival continue on its second day, which included sessions, poetry readings and plastic exhibitions.
The head of the Writers Union in Basra Governorate, Dr. Salman Al-Kasid, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “This festival was launched after a hiatus due to the Corona pandemic,” noting that “this year the festival will be special to witness several diverse activities, cultural sessions and poetry readings by poets from different countries.” The countries of the world, the festival will also include (folklore, that is, visual folklore), and Al-Mirbad will witness (seven poetry readings) and (critical sessions for each day, one critical session).
Yesterday, Thursday, the thirty-fourth edition (the course of the poet Ibrahim Al-Khayyat) of the annual Al-Mirbad Festival was launched in Basra Governorate, and it includes the participation of foreign, Arab and Iraqi poets abroad and at home.
The festival continues for the period (4-7) of November. The festival includes artistic, cultural and literary activities, including art exhibitions, photography and handicrafts, as well as critical sessions, a book fair, and more.
