The Ministry of Education counted today, Wednesday, the number of free fellowships and grants for Iraqi students in universities around the world, while referring to the activation and investment of agreements and memoranda of understanding with countries and twinning programs with universities.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "based on its academic vision of the need to strengthen the scientific ingredients for comprehensive development and based on its plan and objectives in serving the community and meeting its needs for educational opportunities in various rare disciplines that respond to knowledge variables and innovations and an investment for its international partnerships in The world, since May 2020 until the current October 2021, the Ministry managed to achieve 1,304 free paid fellowships and grants for Iraqi students at the level of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in various countries, including Russia, China, Malaysia, as well as Egypt, Jordan and Arab and regional countries other".
The Ministry also added, "Aware of the importance of scientific and cultural interaction in all fields of knowledge and keeping pace with the global academic movement, we have succeeded in activating and investing agreements and memoranda of understanding with countries and twinning programs with universities, developing cooperation contexts and benefiting from experiences and scientific and cultural relations that enhance the international standing and reputation of Iraqi university institutions."
