U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met in Washington with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
"The two ministers discussed U.S.-Saudi strategic cooperation on regional issues, including the common goal of reaching solution to end the conflict in Yemen," the State Department said in a statement.
"The Secretary reiterated that the United States continues to insist on helping Saudi Arabia to defend its territory and people and condemn attacks on the kingdom," the statement said.
"They also discussed regional and international issues, including human rights."
