The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced today, Sunday, that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi issued directives during his visit to the headquarter of the joint operations command.
"Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi was the first to vote today with the opening of the polling centers'," noting that "Al-Kadhimi then visited headquarter of the Joint Operations Command, to follow up all the details of the public voting process", said Rasool to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added that "Al-Kadhimi's directives affirmed that the armed forces must be neutral," stressing that "Al-Kadhimi personally supervises the plan to secure the elections and directed that the polling centers be fully protected."
