Iraqi Bar Association announces the participation of 5,000 lawyers in monitoring the elections

The Iraqi Bar Association announced on Friday, the participation of about five thousand lawyers from its members in observing the elections.

The head of the Iraqi Bar Association, Diaa Al-Saadi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "About five thousand lawyers participated in the process of monitoring the special elections after training and coordinating to distribute them among the governorates, districts and electoral centers," noting that "the goal of monitoring the elections is to follow up on any breach that may occur during the electoral process and submit a report of this violation, if any."

Al-Saadi stressed that "The observers of the Iraqi Bar Association will also participate in monitoring the elections in the general voting in all governorates," noting that " Iraqi Bar Association will publish the violations it receives urgently on its websites, as well as distribute them to the media and send them to the concerned authorities."
