US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller confirmed today, Thursday, that President Biden's administration will work to end the fighting in Lebanon and Gaza in the remaining period.
"Biden administration will work to end the fighting in Lebanon and Gaza in the remaining time, improve aid access, release hostages and prevent the conflict from expanding," Miller said in a press statement.
"Secretary of State Antony Blinken intends to work in the remaining time to move issues including a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon," he added.
Biden leaves office on January 20 under the US Constitution, handing it over to his successor, Donald Trump, who won the presidential election.
