Maysan Criminal Court issued today, Thursday, a death sentence for the killer of the father of the kidnapped lawyer, Ali Al-Hiliji.
A statement by the Supreme Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “Maysan Criminal Court issued a death sentence against the convict who killed the father of the kidnapped lawyer (Ali Jasib Al-Hiliji) in the city of Al-Amarah."
He explained that "The convict confessed the details of this crime after he killed the victim in Al-Maareth area in the center of the city of Al-Amarah," noting that "the verdict on the convict comes in accordance with the provisions of Article (406/1/a) of the Penal Code and in accordance with the articles 47, 48, 49 of the law ".
