Minister of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities, engineer Naznin Mohammed Wasu approved the basic design of the new residential city of Fallujah in Anbar province.
“The actual area of the project prepared by the Directorate General of Urban Planning of the Ministry amounts to 29,922 acres, pointing out that "the new residential city of Fallujah contains 98,160 housing units, diverse between vertical and investment housing, with an area of 250 m2 for each housing unit and serves about 588,690 people.," the minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The new city is located near the tourist city of Habbaniyah, in order to exploit the main axis leading to the tourist city in the center of the new city of Fallujah, to hold service, commercial, cultural and tourism events, and to make it a distinct hub in addition to the tourist and commercial uses overlooking Lake Habbaniyah," she said.
