National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji and the ambassadors of European countries discussed, today, Thursday, the Iraqi elections and the tasks of NATO.
The media office of the National Security Adviser said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, received, today, Thursday, at the National Security Adviser's building, the ambassadors of Denmark, Sweden and Finland, in the presence of the Danish military attache in Iraq."
He added, "Al-Araji held an expanded meeting with the ambassadors of the three countries, during which the attendees discussed files related to the upcoming elections and the international support provided to Iraq."
He added, "During the meeting, the importance of holding the upcoming elections and the means for their success was emphasized," explaining that "the attendees discussed the tasks of the NATO advisory mission in Iraq, as well as the issue of security reform in the military and security establishment.".
The ambassadors of the three countries renewed their countries' support for Iraq in the humanitarian, political, economic, cultural and health aspects, expressing their hope that "Iraq will witness more security and stability."
