PM: We discussed various files, including economic ones, with the Iranian president

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed that a set of files had been discussed during bilateral talks with the Iranian President 

Al-Kadhimi said during a press conference held with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in Tehran, that: "A set of bilateral files were discussed with the Iranian president, including the file of strengthening brotherly relations and historical ties".

Prime minister, "The economic files, the railway linking, and increase of trade exchange were discussed," stressing "work to transfer the common files for the benefit of the Iraqi and Iranian peoples".  

Al-Kadhimi added, "We thank everyone who stood with Iraq in its war against Daesh," praising "Iran's position and standing with Iraq from the first moment in the war against terrorism".
