Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Today, Tuesday, stressed the importance of Iraqi diplomatic efforts in the region.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office stated that "Al-Kadhimi discussed with Raisi bilateral relations between the two countries and a number of issues of common interest, and the two sides exchanged condolences in the name of the peoples of the two friendly countries, on the occasion of Ashura days, and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him
During the call, Al-Kadhimi indicated, "the need to enhance joint bilateral action in facing the challenges of the region, and the importance of continuous communication between the various parties to consolidate stability, support sustainable development, and regional integration for the entire region.
Raisi expressed his "thanks to Al-Kadhimi, and the efforts of the Iraqi government and people in hosting the visitors of religious occasions," while Al-Kadhimi affirmed his "wishes of success and rectitude to president Raisi on the occasion of assuming his presidential duties.
Raisi "expressed his appreciation for Iraq's prominent role in converging views in the region, and diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Iraqi government in the service of peace, and the interests of the peoples of the region.
