Baghdad, the Arab Tourism Capital 2025 activities kick-off

    The activities of Baghdad, the Capital of Arab Tourism 2025, kicked off this evening, Tuesday.


    "We in Baghdad Governorate will do our utmost and participate in all activities and practices that show Baghdad as the capital of Arab tourism," said the Governor of Baghdad, Abdul Muttalib Al-Alawi, in a speech during the opening activities of Baghdad, the Capital of Arab Tourism - attended by the Iraqi News Agency - INA reporter.


    Al-Alawi added, "In this place that stores images, stories, tales and events through designs, decorations and arts, through which the slogan of Baghdad, the Capital of Arab Tourism, was launched," indicating that "this title came after a great effort made by various government bodies represented by PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, Minister of Culture, Information and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, and the PM's Advisor for Tourism Affairs Omar Al-Alawi, and all other participating bodies, which culminated in Baghdad obtaining this entitlement."


    He noted that "this is considered part of Baghdad's entitlement, which is known as beautiful Baghdad, as expressed by the slogan through its people, heritage, art and everything in it."


    "This entitlement is an entitlement from government agencies, the private sector, institutions, civil organizations, and civil society, in addition to individuals, titles, writers, thinkers, authors, painters, athletes, and artists, in addition to volunteer teams," he pointed out, calling on everyone "to unite and cooperate so that Baghdad can fulfill this entitlement and translate this title into what is appropriate for Baghdad." 

    The governor concluded his speech, "by congratulating Baghdad on this entitlement," offering "his thanks to all those who participated in Baghdad receiving this title."
