BOC explains the security plan for Arbaʽeen Pilgrimage and sets the date for its implementation

Baghdad Operations Commander Lieutenant General Ahmed Salim told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq will witness, during the next three weeks,  large influx of pilgrims to commemorate The Arbaʽeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, (peace be upon him)," noting that " Baghdad Operations Command is preparing the security plan for this holy rituals”. 

Salim added, "The plan will be implemented a week before the Arbaʽeen and it will depend on the situation," emphasizing that " Ministries of Defense and Interior will support the plan of BOC units, through air support and Army aircraft, in addition to activating intelligence efforts to monitor the situation”.
 
Baghdad Operations Commander also mentioned that "a few days ago, a conference was held for the owners of the processions, as they were directed to adhere the procedures of the Health and Safety Committee regarding Corona epidemic, in addition to checking the processions for security and determining their locations to ensure safety."
