The international coalition announced Tuesday, that ISIS terrorist gangs are unable to occupy any territory in Iraq, while noting that there has been no sign of their return.

International coalition spokesman Colonel Wayne Marroto told The Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "ISIS terrorist gangs continue to take advantage of the security vacuum, as they are active as a low-level insurgency compared to al-Qaeda in 2010," noting that ISIS carry out its attacks when it has the chance.”

He added that "Iraqi security forces and the international coalition are proactively intercepting and destroying ISIS's hideouts, locations, temporary camps, financial resources and undermining their key leaders," adding that "Iraqi security forces are at the forefront of the fight against ISIS."

He confirmed that "The coalition will continue to support Iraqi security forces, and if the Iraqi prime minister requests the coalition air force, it will support it," adding that "the coalition has not seen any indication of the resurgence of ISIS."

He also mentioned that “As long as these gangs continue to pose a clear and present threat to the security of Iraq and northeastern Syria, the coalition will continue to strike.”
