NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Sunday, that the international community must work together to prevent Afghanistan from becoming a center for terrorist organizations.
Stoltenberg said that "I totally agree that the entire international community, including Russia and China, should work to prevent Afghanistan from becoming a place where terrorist groups can freely operate, prepare, plan and finance attacks against our country.
It is noteworthy that on August 15, the Taliban movement (banned in Russia) managed to take control of the Afghan capital, Kabul, without much resistance, less than two weeks after the start of clashes between government forces and militants of the movement, while the province of Panjshir, located in the northeast of the country, remained the only state outside its control.
It's mentioned that Taliban's control of most of the country came to culminate in military operations against government forces that lasted for weeks, coinciding with the process of withdrawal of foreign forces led by the United States, which is scheduled to be completed on the 11th of next month, and after President Ashraf Ghani left the countryto prevent the bloodshed.
