Mass Media reported that the Taliban's attempt to storm Panjshir province by force last night was unsuccessful .

Yesterday evening, Thursday, press reports stated that violent clashes erupted between the Taliban and the National Resistance Front forces led by Ahmed Masoud in separate areas of the western part of Panjshir, including the Shattal area and the mountain passes of Khawak, Anjaman and Darband, amid expectations that the events of the coming night may decide the fate of the battle.

"This night will be decisive for Panjshir and the real resistance in the country, " the defense minister of the collapsed Afghan government, Bassemullah Mohammadi, wrote on his Twitter account .

Activists circulated at night footage showing confrontations between the two sides using heavy weapons. Activists and media confirmed this morning that the "Taliban", which brought hundreds of militants from different parts of the country to storm the state of Panjshir, failed to make any significant progress and incurred tangible losses .

Un addition to that, Afghan media platform,  Herat Times,  stated via the Telegram application that the resistance had thwarted the violent attacks of the "Taliban" movement on the Shattle, Khawak, Anjaman and Darband fronts, and was able to kill and wound dozens of the movement's militants .

The platform quoted local sources as saying that violent clashes are continuing in the strategic Kalbahar area, which is considered the "gates of Panjshir ".
