INA - Baghdad Iraqi PM Haider Abadi announced that electricity production was increased to 16 thousand Megawatt and a new deal was made with Siemens to increase it to 24/7. “The salty tab in Shatt al-Arab is a crisis of ages before and the paucity of rain increased it,” Abadi said on Tuesday. Abadi also explained that the Ministerial Council discussed the decisions regarding water problems in Basra, adding that it’s the province responsibility to hinder the abuses on water shares. “We forwarded to the Ministry of Municipalities to investigate reducing the Chlorine in the water of Basra. Results to be announced in a week” noted Abadi. Regarding the third amendment of elections law, PM explained that it provides to stop the work of the Board of Commissioners until the investigations end. PM also called for not to use the illegal means to put the candidates under pressure by threatening or blackmailing, “We hope to form the biggest bloc that leads the government to fulfil the demands of the citizens and the interest of the country,”
