Al-Sadr calls for million-revolutionary-elections to end corruption

    The leader of Sadrist movement, Sayyed Muqtada al-Sadr, called on Tuesday, for a million-electoral-revolution for seekers of reform and lovers of the homeland to end corruption.

    "Iraqis must remedy the corruption that is prevalent in their country, whether at the popular level, such as the spread of sins, disobedience, disagreements, murder, suspicions, deviant beliefs and others, or at the level of political corruption that has become temperament of the vast majority of politicians and others who cooperate with them, are satisfied with their actions, remain silent,” said Al-Sadr in a tweet via his Twitter account, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). 

    He added: "Redress does not come through mobs, noise and riots, but rather through the million-electoral-revolution for lovers of reform and lovers of the homeland to end corruption,”
