Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - MOHESR affirmed on Monday, the readiness for scientific cooperation projects with China.
Minister of Education, Dr. Nabil Abdul Sahib, met the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nizar Al-Khair Allah, and discussed the results of consultations conducted by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry with its Chinese counterpart within the framework of cultural relations," according to a statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
“The higher education institutions is keen on scientific and academic cooperation between the two sides, especially in terms of research to combat desertification and renewable energy technology, strengthening relations and scientific exchange between university institutions, benefiting from Chinese experiences, and drawing a perspective on cooperation in the field of mutual scholarships,” included the statement.
Ministry of Higher Education showed that it is “ready for understanding and coordination under official contexts and channels approved for studying the Iraqi-Chinese University project,” and determining the majors that serve bilateral relations.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reviewed the consultations with the Chinese side and the paths of understanding adopted between the two countries.
