Al-Halbousi: We highly appreciate Al-Sadr's decision to participate in the elections

Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, expressed his high appreciation for Muqtada al-Sadr's decision to participate in the elections.

Al-Halbousi said in a tweet to him, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In crises, national positions become a historical responsibility for men. Our high appreciation for Al-Sadr's decision to participate in the elections and to preserve this constitutional entitlement.".

He added, "We thank the political forces that contributed to bringing the ranks together in order to proceed with the elections, which we hope will represent the will of the people and move the country to safety.".
