The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, welcomed today, Friday, the return of the Sadrist movement to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Al-Kadhimi said, in a tweet to him on the Twitter, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We welcome the return of the Sadrist movement to participate in the elections, and thanks to all the political and popular forces and leaders that made efforts for his return.".
The Prime Minister called on all the boycotters to the "similar positions", expressing his hope for "wide participation of our people in the elections on the path to change."He concluded by saying: "Iraq first, Iraq and then Iraq.".
The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, decided this evening, Friday, to reverse his previous decision to boycott the elections, while confirming that he will run in the upcoming elections with determination and called for the participation of millions in the elections.
