United Nations representative, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, stressed on Wednesday, that the credibility of October elections that will be essential for the future of Iraq.
“October elections have the potential to be different from 2018 elections," Plasschaert said in her briefing to the UN Security Council, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
She “praised the achievements of the Iraqi High Electoral Commission, and added, “The credibility of these October elections will be essential to the future of Iraq,"
“United Nations number of staff members currently involved in the elections is five times the number that worked in the 2018 elections," She noted.
