The Security Media Cell – SMC announced that a terrorist hideout had been found underground in Samarra.
“Security forces are within Samarra Operations Command and through a joint force from the Fourth Division in the Federal Police in partnership with a detachment from the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency, in addition a force from the 9th Salah al-Din Emergency Regiment, and a detachment from a Dhuluiya police station and National Security, a security operation was carried out in Hawi al-Azeem area to search for wanted persons and secure the area,” SMC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The force found two explosive devices, four detonators, and an underground terrorist den. The den was destroyed and the materials were handled by the division's engineering effort, included the statement.
According to the statement, “the duration of the visit should not exceed more than 7 days from the date of entering Iraq. There is cooperation between the Iraqi Airports Administration and the Ministry of Health in applying safety procedures according to the instructions of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety in order to preserve the security and safety of Iraqis,”
