The Security Media Cell (S.M.C) announced on Saturday the launch of a large-scale security operation in areas north of Baghdad.
A statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that, According to accurate intelligence information, Baghdad Operations Command, supported by Army Air Forces, and the International Coalition air support, began at 600 o'clock this morning, a wide security operation in areas north of Baghdad, to pursue ISIS terrorist gangs.
The operation carried out by units from the Special Forces, the Federal Police, the Popular Mobilization forces as well as other security services, SMC reports.
