The media continues to reveal exciting details about Lionel Messi's transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
The newspaper Le Parisien blew up a resounding surprise that Messi did not receive a signing bonus when joining Saint-Germain, according to the assurances of French club officials and the Argentine player's advisers.
And the newspaper added: "Leo's contract with Paris remains a kept secret, but with time some things are revealed, such as his receiving an annual salary of 41 million euros, and the Paris club's announcement that part of the rewards will be disbursed to the Argentine star in cryptocurrencies."
In addition to that Messi's failure to receive a signing bonus is surprising, because it guarantees the player a huge amount before he plays one match with his new team, as long as he joins in a free transfer deal.
Le Parisien confirmed: "If Messi does not have a signing bonus, there is no doubt that his two-year contract includes many very tempting bonuses, so the Argentine star ceded very little of his image rights."
For his part, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of the Parisian club, blew another surprise by his statement through the newspaper L'Equipe, saying, "I do not know if you know this, but in January a club offered 600 million euros to Leo in exchange for a 4-year contract, and of course I will not reveal Messi's salary in Paris, but you have to imagine how much we saved in this deal."
He added, "We concluded 4 free deals this summer for players with a market value ranging from 400 to 500 million euros."
He concluded: "Some accuse us of violating the Financial Fair Play regulations, but our club was worth 2.5 billion euros, and now the value has jumped to at least 3 billion euros."
