The Ministry of Interior - MOI held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the implementation of the Cabinet's decision to the adaptation of the legal status of foreign laborers in Iraq.
The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, chaired the meeting at the headquarters of the Civil Status, Passports and Residence Directorate, to discuss work documents related to implementing the Cabinet's decision to the adaptation of the legal status of foreign laborers in Iraq, said the media office of the Minister of Interior in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in correcting the legal status of violators of residency regulations and the procedures related to this regard.
The Minister stressed "the need to continue campaigns to pursue violators and deport them outside the country, as well as simplify procedures for completing transactions related to this matter."
