The Iraqi runner Taha Hussein bids farewell to the Olympic Games currently taking place in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, after achieving sixth place.
The head of the delegation participating in the Tokyo Olympics, Haitham Abdel Hamid, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on Sunday: "The runner Taha Hussein achieved sixth place out of eight competitors with a time of 46 seconds to leave the playoff early.
Abdul Hamid added that "the rower, Muhammad Riyad, also left the competition after receiving the 21st place out of 32.
