Samarra Operations: A 95% Decrease in Terrorist Operations

    The Samarra Operations Command confirmed today, Thursday,  a 95% decrease in terrorist operations activity, while revealing the reasons.

    The Operations Commander, Major General Ali Mishajal al-Maliki, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the activities of terrorist gangs have decreased by 5% compared to last year, or an average of 95%," due to the reasons, including "continuing to carry out pre-emptive operations and arrests." On 72 terrorist elements and 23 suspects, in addition to seizing about 497 explosive materials, in addition to finding and destroying an old cache of ISIS terrorist gangs containing military clothing, foodstuffs and weapons.

    On the other hand, al-Maliki confirmed, "The leadership implemented a plan to secure the Eid al-Ghadir visit in the city of Samarra and deployed its forces on the roads leading to the military holy shrine and the holy shrines in the country of Dujail."

    At the same time, he pointed out that "there is no boundary between the Samarra Operations Command and the advanced headquarters of the Joint Operations Command in Kirkuk," noting that "there are boundaries between the Salah al-Din operations in the north and the Diyala operations command in the east."
