Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed, today, Wednesday, with his Czech counterpart, enhancing cooperation in the migration and immigrant file, and reaching common understandings to stop the network of smuggling Iraqis to Lithuania

A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "Hussein received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jacob Kolhanek, confirming the depth of the historical relations between the two countries.

He called for "bilateral cooperation in all fields, praising the positions of the Czech Republic in support of Iraq in its war against Daesh terrorist gangs, and economic cooperation, looking forward to finding new cooperation opportunities that contribute to achieving the aspirations of the two countries.

And the Minister of Foreign Affairs indicated that "Iraq appreciates the role played by the partners within the European Union to support the ongoing political process in the country.
