Security Media Cell – SMC announced arresting of the so-called governor of Baghdad by Daesh terrorist gangs.
"In order to complete eliminating the remnants of Daesh gangs and with a qualitative process based on proactive information, the National Security Service was enabled to overthrow what is so-called as (the governor of Baghdad) after monitoring and prosecution that included three Iraqi governorates,” according to a statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement included that the arrested terrorist is “one of the most prominent leaders of Daesh and occupied several positions, the most important of which is the so-called Emir of the states (Al-Shamiya - Raqqa - Badia - Salah al-Din - Baghdad),” where he admitted to “leading many terrorist operations against civilians and security forces. His intention was to plan attacks in the capital of Baghdad,”
