Commission spokeswoman Jumana Al-Ghalay said in an exclusive statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the Electoral Commission coordinated its work with the Ministry of Health and Environment and with the Ration Card Department in the Ministry of Trade, during the period of updating the voter register.
She added that the period of updating the voter records exceeded more than 100 days, during which a large number of voters who reported and occurred with deaths were received, as the commission then deleted approximately 44,000 dead voters from the general voter registry.
